IT Infrastructure
Infrastructure engineering and operational support across servers, networks, firewalls, platforms and enterprise connectivity.
Overview
We design, build and run servers, storage, networks and virtualisation on-premises, in the cloud or in a hybrid setup.

Architecture and how it works
The design is layered: a network and identity foundation, compute and storage on virtual or cloud platforms, backup and disaster recovery for protection, and central monitoring over everything.

Tools and deliverables
Design documents cover network diagrams, IP and VLAN plans, server and storage sizing, directory structure and backup and recovery objectives. Build and change records keep the configuration current for operations and future capacity planning.

Common questions
How is the infrastructure design layered?
A network and identity foundation comes first, then compute and storage on virtual or cloud platforms, with backup and disaster recovery and central monitoring over everything. Each layer is documented and can be changed independently, which keeps the design understandable as the environment grows and workloads move between sites.
Which server and virtualisation platforms do you work with?
We work with Windows Server and Linux on VMware or Hyper-V on-premises, and on Azure or AWS in the cloud, with Active Directory and Entra ID providing identity. This supports on-premises, cloud and hybrid designs, so platform choice follows the workload and your constraints rather than a single preferred technology.
How do you design for high availability?
We remove single points of failure across compute, storage and network, size capacity for growth, and agree recovery objectives that the backup and disaster recovery design must meet. Capacity and availability are then monitored, so a limit is noticed and planned for before it causes an outage in production.
What network design is covered?
Design covers LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and VPN, including segmentation, addressing and routing. It is documented with diagrams and configuration records so changes stay controlled, and so a new engineer can understand how traffic flows between sites, users and servers without having to reverse-engineer the network.
